Finally the Battlfield Bad Company 2 PC BETA is upon us!
Many speculated that DICE may once again push the PC BETA release date back, however DICE have delivered and the FPS community is buzzing with anticipation. With less than 12 hours to go until the BETA becomes available for download both CyberGamer and GameArena are raring to go.
In a somewhat unheard of move
CyberGamer has organised a BETA competition which has lit the Australian FPS community on fire. The CyberGamer BFBC2 BETA Cup Tournament will feature 3 separate brackets, with each bracket consisting of 32 teams. Team sizes have been capped to 12 players for the 8v8 competition, which has left some clanners scrambling for a position in a team. CyberGamer have announced that the winning team of each of the 3 brackets will receive the awesome prize of 12 retail copies of Battlefield Bad Company 2 - that's one copy for each member of the winning teams.
GameArena, which has been comparatively quiet in the week leading up to the BETA release, have suddenly sprung into action releasing a massive 3000 BETA keys to the public whilst also announcing a BFBC2 BETA competition of their own. GA have yet to release the details of their forth coming ladder, but the BF community is now going to be spoiled for choice, and this is just the BETA! However that is not all for GameArena, GA have also got 24 BC2 BETA servers lined up and ready to go.
This signifies how huge of a release the PC version of Battlefield Bad Company 2 is set to be. BF gamers have been waiting for a long long time, forget about BF3 for a while, Bad Company 2 is going to create huge waves and many believe that MW2 is about to take a huge hit to their player base.
A number of die hards will no doubt be up at 4:00AM AEST, to them I say goodluck and may your download speeds be slick!
